What does a day in the life of a Fashion & Lifestyle Director look like? Video production, photo styling, event management, public speaking, on-camera hosting…you name it, Holly Quartaro does it!

Besides being the most fashionable Sunwest team member, Holly is always on the go, whether it’s for work, living that #MomLife, or giving back to her community.

Lucky for us, Holly made time to tell us a little more about herself and share some advice.

What advice would you give someone who wants to enter the field of public relations?
PR, much like life, is all about relationships! Relationships with external entities (like reporters, writers and producers) are built Sunwest Communications employee Holly Quartaro at WFAA news studio on trust. They need to trust that what you provide will be quality content that is relevant to their particular audience. Relationships with your internal team and leaders is also extremely important. Try to surround yourself with people who you can learn from and take any opportunity for hands-on experience that comes your way.

Who inspires you?
I am inspired by so many different people! One that comes to mind first is someone I actually went to high school with, named Shannon Sedgwick Davis. She is an attorney and advocate for social justice as the head of the Bridgeway Foundation, whose mission is to “end mass atrocities around the world.” She has written a book about her collaboration to stop the LRA, produced a movie, sits on the board of The Elders (started by Nelson Mandela) and continues to do work for peace, justice and human rights worldwide…all while being an involved and supportive mom to her two sons!

What’s location is next on your travel bucket list? Sunwest Communications employee Holly Quartaro at event venue
My short-term travel bucket list includes mainly college campuses we will be visiting with my oldest daughter, then a mother/daughter trip to NYC with my middle daughter (delayed due to the pandemic) and finally the REAL bucket list trip will be to Europe with the family next summer. The hard part will be deciding which countries/cities to visit!
