Michelle Buckalew is a seasoned communications strategist with expertise in corporate communications, media relations, and crisis and reputation management. Currently, she serves as a trusted advisor, shaping and executing communication strategies to help Sunwest’s diverse clientele meet their business goals.

Before joining Sunwest, Michelle assumed a key role in leading the global communications team at a prominent financial technology and service provider. Her experiences also include a Vice President role in the corporate communications practice for a global public relations agency and an internal communications consultant for a global retailer.

An award-winning journalist, Michelle began her communications career in television news. Serving as executive producer, she was a pivotal member of newsroom management teams in Dallas and Austin.

Michelle holds a Bachelor of Journalism degree from the University of Texas at Austin.
