Melinda has a strong global perspective and extensive experience creating and managing communications, marketing and brand visibility strategies. As a member of the Sunwest team, she provides strategic counsel for leaders of iconic and new consumer brands.
Her career includes a decade in global communications and brand marketing at Mary Kay Inc. She’s helped companies go global, launched multi-country brand communications initiatives and built communications departments from scratch – twice.
Melinda has worked in multiple industries and sectors including technology, construction, trade associations, and philanthropy. She was marketing director for Women Texas Film Festival and director of communications and marketing at The Dallas Foundation. She was the owner of End2End Branding prior to joining Sunwest.
She interned at Cairo Today magazine in Egypt while earning a master’s degree from the Thunderbird School of Global Management. She received a B.B.A. in international business and B.A. in Spanish from the University of Texas at Austin and studied at the Universidad de Valencia in Spain.
She volunteers as a chapter liaison for the Southern Region of the International Association of Business Communicators and is a past president of IABC Dallas.
