Commercial Real Estate
Sunwest Account Directors are savvy public relations and marketing practitioners with a strong work ethic, a diverse network of media contacts and social influencers, and the ability to craft stellar strategy and content.
The Sunwest commercial real estate team works with clients across the industry – from top developers, investors and brokers to architects, construction firms and engineers – to tell their unique stories. The account director – commercial real estate will have an intimate knowledge of how the CRE industry functions, key media and emerging trends.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead client teams, serving as the client-facing representative of Sunwest
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients
- Keep track of impending deadlines and ensure all work is completed in a timely manner
- Develop strategic, creative, well-organized, well-written PR/marketing/social media campaigns
- Fulfill tactical plans for clients
- Effectively execute campaigns through media/influencer outreach, content creation, digital/social media, and event participation to drive measurable results
- Monitor, report and evaluate campaign success and adjust when necessary
- Follow key trends by keeping abreast of each client’s industry, competition and coverage
- Monitor, engage and provide strategic counsel to clients
- Develop and maintain successful relationships with journalists, bloggers, influencers while also uncovering new outlets and opportunities for clients
- Consistently conceive of new and interesting opportunities to secure media coverage
- Proactively identify, pitch story topics to journalists and follow-up with editorial opportunities
- Handle incoming media inquiries and achieve best possible outcome for clients
- Lead brainstorming efforts for events, outreach and other ways to add value for clients
- Collaborate with team members to produce high-quality client deliverables and fulfill all day-to-day client project work
- Generate clients’ marketing and PR documents including news releases and pitch letters, op-eds, feature articles, blogs, web content, memos and marketing collateral
- Proofread and edit for style materials written by other team members
- Attend meetings with clients, as required
- Offer ideas for Sunwest company initiatives (cultural, operational, etc.)
- Networking and new business development
- Assist in acquiring new clients and/or sell additional services to existing ones

Education
Sunwest Directors will hold a degree in public relations, marketing, communications or journalism and 7+ years of relevant work experience, agency preferred. Communications expertise, outstanding time management skills, and a passion for public relations and social media are essential to succeed in this position.
