Sunwest Communications Adds Communications Leader Michelle Buckalew to its Team

DALLAS (April 12, 2019) –Sunwest Communications continues to strengthen its team of professionals with the addition of Michelle Buckalew, who joins the firm as Senior Account Director.
A seasoned corporate communications leader, Buckalew brings 25 years of communications experience to the company with expertise in media relations, global corporate communications, and crisis management. In her new role, she will provide strategic counsel to help define, develop and implement communication plans for Sunwest’s growing list of clients.

Most recently, Buckalew led the Global Corporate Communications team for MoneyGram International, where she was responsible for media relations, executive messaging, crisis communications and employee engagement for the financial services company.
Prior to that, she held positions of Vice President in the Corporate Communications Practice for Hill + Knowlton Strategies, and communications consultant for a national retail company. She began her career in broadcast journalism and served as executive producer at various television news organizations including the CBS-owned television station in Dallas.

Buckalew received her B.A. in journalism from the University of Texas at Austin. She and her husband have two children.
