Because Portacool recognized the continuous rise of social media influence on product purchase, they tasked Sunwest with developing their social media presence to allow consistent and effective engagement with current and potential customers.
Sunwest developed and implemented a strategy that blended marketing and educational posts with content generated and shared by users. Sunwest also launched the company’s Instagram page and led content development for all social channels including Facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn. Sunwest continues to strategically align social media efforts with the company’s objectives and drives engagement through a variety of creative hashtag campaigns such as #coolerthanyou.
In 2017, the Facebook page exceeded 102,000 likes; the Instagram page gained 500 organic followers; and the LinkedIn page reached more than 1,000 followers. In addition to the dramatic rise in followers, Sunwest’s strategy continues to elicit higher rates of user interaction across all social media channels.
